Wait a second. Did you get new UCAs for a spacer lift?

I know, I know, whenever anyone changes their profile pic it messes me up big time!! It was time for a change though since my old one was outdated.

I threw my old single Toytec TSB AAL ($85+ shipping for a pair with new center pins IIRC) in mine after I got the shitty ass recall springs installed....it helped a lot! The new springs are quite frankly pathetic. I lost almost 2" of height in the rear over a three day period due to settling with it parked in my garage. My TSB packs with 80+k miles on them sat more than an inch higher than the new trash springs.

New springs weren't in my budget either. The AAL will buy some time, but inevitably, I will have to order some Dakars.

    Before AAL

I was just comparing wheelers 2 in AAl vs Headstrongs 2in progressive AAL. Hmm

They definitely will. It's just that a spacer is a common way to lift these trucks on the cheap cheap, since usually they can't afford anything better than that. Spacers are generally a couple hundred bucks, while new UCAs are $500+

They'll definitely work!! Plus now if you want to upgrade suspension down the line, you've already got a big piece finished. You can generally go up to 2.5" without them, and a full 3" with them, plus more articulation.

3/10. This really wasn't bad at all after I popped the panel off the back of the cab. As long as you're aware of the plastic you're fine. The only thing that was remotely difficult was getting that whole panel lined up so that the plastic clips would align when putting it back together.

Sometimes there really isn't an option. I have a spacer lift, well currently have half of one in. But my ball joint nuts are seized and they will have to be cut off. So I figured spend $550 on new OEM UCAs or just buy TC UCAs...I did the latter. Putting them in definitely wasn't the plan right now, but when things go wrong you don't always have the option. I guess later it will be easier to just throw coils in there.

I'd definitely do the same thing if I were you. Really, I just wish I had some aftermarket UCAs for the full 3" :jellydance:
