Bought the house 2 years ago. House built in 2002. Replaced both exterior units last fall because units in the neighborhood were breaking down. Cheaper to go with a new exterior unit than a full new system by about 100%.

Water heater went tits up near Christmas. Now all of them in the neighborhood are dying. Gotta love planned obsolescence.

By the way, the masks on commercial airlines are for pussys. The air force has bags you put over your head. Got to use one today. Not the most fun moment in air force aviation. Made it back to PHX safe. But my ears hurt. While I am not in the AF, the pilots and crew did a great job.

Multiple folks on AR15.com said with a rifle caliber it will get to hot to use real quick. I decided against it.

The change is called 41P, google it for all the details but in a nutshell it mostly effects buying NFA items on a trust. Now you will have to have everyone on your trust finger printed and photo'd as well as inform your CLEO you're buying the NFA item.
Having a CCW has nothing to do with it as far as I understand it.

IMO it is a big deal-more hoops to jump through and more hassle to buy an item that's been regulated since the '30's and as far as I know never been used in a malicious way.
As an example-Imagine having your wife, 2 kids and your brother who lives 1000 miles from you all on your trust. Gotta get them all officially finger printed and photo'd to buy NFA items on a trust.
Or skip all that and buy as an individual which opens up another can of legalities.

And for you guys having AC issues. Have your system checked yearly, it;s worth the cost.
The capacitors in the systems are a high wear item. It's bit me in the ass twice and 2 houses in the last 2 years :) 1st time it happened late on a Sunday. We stayed in a hotel that night.

Agreed 100% I'm lucky that my father-in-law works in commercial refrigeration and comes out and looks ours over every year. He's saved our asses a couple of times.
