Just a bunch of old crap
My compound setup from this past weekend up at Knoll Lake. Very happy with how the new height of the awning worked out.

Better? Best we could do with only 3 trucks.

We welded on a new bracket system that used the ARB awning brackets (sold separate from the awnings) so I could extend the awning 6" away from the truck. Then I added a 7" riser to the face of those to get the bottom of the awning up to the necessary 78". Keep in mind that my bed rack is already cab-height.

Nice bro. That was always my problem with those awnings. I want to be able to walk upright under an awning. Looks good!

I'm thinking that this area needs to be a future trip spot, fall or spring. Both kinds of wheeling right in one area (4x4 and wash), lots of awesome canyon camping, and it's all less than 15 minutes away from gas and restaurants in Mammoth.

Oh really. I've heard there are a couple insano buggy trails in the Mammoth area.

That might be the trail that starts right in the "mushroom stamp cove" campsite. There's a pretty difficult 4-5 foot high v-notch gatekeeper going into the rock wall at the west end of camp.

By the way, that YJ buggy around the 3:00 mark is sick @RPS1030
