Trying to find a way to make it work

If I can find a canopy that'll hold my rtt and two adults that'd be ideal. But I don't want to spend 2 grand

Soft top would work if I could use my current rack

well if you decide to give it a try my softopper is all pulled off including the rails and you can toss it on in about 10 minutes. I'm in Beaverton.

I'm due up for an alignment (first one in Oregon since moving back down). How's the experience been with Firestone Beaverton? I know Mitch does Firestone Tigard. If there's an 'alignment mecca' around here these days, what is it?

I used Pace-Way in Hillsboro after my Tundra got smacked. They are usually so busy that it takes a while to get an appointment (they mainly do frame and axle work).

I have heard good things about Firestone, though.

Scheduled with Beaverton Firestone, they will do it provided the tires don't come off
    I'll see how it goes

i'd like to try it, its more of a question of clearance.
keep getting quotes for canopies in the 2.7-3k range. ridiculous!

once i get the rack mounted again I will hit you up for sure.

I am goign to give The Line Up Shop in SE Portland a try. The owners husband came in my shop recently and we chatted a long while. Seems these are the guys in town that know offroad vehicles. He is a Jeep guy but i wont hold that against him.

after looking at many photos, i don't think i could make it work because of my rack bars mount on the top inside of the rail, and they would be in the way of soft toppers side mounts

Tried the Beaverton Firestone, seemed liked good guys and seemed happy to work there, which is a good sign. However, they did tell me some bad news - upper and lower ball joints are going out. They were good enough to show me and indeed, is true. I'm not totally surprised, I've been wondering about the lowers, but I was hoping to get more life out of the uppers. I think this is about the 2nd or third set of BJs for those light racing arms, and these have only been on probably a year or two, so I'm done throwing money at them. I've also viewed never too try pressing the LCA BJs again, so looks like I'm going to start shopping for both upper and lower arms

That's good to know about that Firestone.

Sucks about the ball joints, though!!

    Small useful for me stuff.

For uppers are you thinking of staying with ball joints, and if so just a different manufacturers or going uniball?

There's a lot of people looking the JBAs, but I'm wanting to make sure I get the "right" part this time instead of being completely focused on the price tag. I remember looking in the MT thread a very long time ago and thinking Dirt King were very nice, but I need to really look properly.
