    Making more progress. Got 3 sets of 5 at 300# deadlifting today amidst my 10 sets. I did a switch grip though (one overhand one underhand). I only got 2 when I tried with both overhand. Last week I did get a set of 3 overhand though. I don't like doing switch grip but the bar slips like crazy on my right hand. It's a combination of weak grip and sweaty palms. I need to remember my chalk next time and see if that helps with the slipping...

    Switch grip is basically necessary at the higher weights if you're not using straps. I use switch grip and alternate between sets which hand is over and which hand is under. If you are set on using double overhand, look into the hook grip, in which your thumb goes under your middle finger. It hurts at first, but IT'S SUPPOSED TO HURT ISN'T IT?! I think I saw that on a t-shirt or something.

    I used switch grip. That's the only thing that feels right to me. Still trying to lose the wrist straps, but I still need them over 315 usually

    How do you hold the bar for your front squats? Just about every time I do them I try the under hand version placing the bar on the front of your shoulders with just your finger tips on the bar and your elbows in the air and every time it hurts the fuck out of my wrist no matter what I do. Im sure it will be much worse now after the second time of breaking my wrist. I just don't think i have the mobility in those joints to do it. I always end up doing the x style hold basically touching my shoulders with the opposite hand.

    I hold the bar in my hands palms up with a hook grip (same grip as I use for the clean and the jerk). While it may be uncomfortable at first, your body will adapt and loosen up. I use this grip because that is how I clean, and I use the FS to train the clean. Plus, it is the strongest position.

    Fun little front squat from yesterday if you want a good one. Using 85-90% of your 5RM complete one set every other minute. Reps of 5,4,3,2,1,5,4,3

    I ditched the straps but will still use chalk when I max. I'll stick with the switch grip them. Thought it was like wearing a belt when doing 135 and didn't want my gainz to have an * next to them
