Does a TRD license plate frame count as a mod?
Daily driver/commuter vehicle, but I get up on the trails as much as I can, and am always hauling stuff for home projects or finding random firewood for my stack and such. So many little uses for a truck that were a PITA to do in my old car. If I ever buy a car again, it'll likely be something fun that I drive occasionally.

The truck is just far more useful, not to mention comfortable to drive. I got in my wife's Toyota Matrix the other day (for the first time in months) and I felt closed in, and kinda vulnerable. Like going from a battle tank to a tin can (don't tell my wife I said that, she loves that little car. ;))

Only offroading I do is on the beach, which happens a few times a month. I have hauled mulch, top soil, plants/shrubs, bikes, furniture and countless other things in the bed on many occasions. But for the most part the bed is empty. So I fall into the both camp.

I'm fixing up a hundred year old house and doing the landscaping on it's 1/3 acre at the same time -- so pretty much every weekend there's something being hauled to or from the place in the bed. Can't imagine living without this truck.

Personal transportation. Daily driver - compact size - hauls stuff in bed - tows trailer. Does all of that and has 4WD.

Double cab lets you carry some passengers - I've had five adults in mine - two were females or it wouldn't have worked! Gets a little bit like a "clown car"...........

I tow a boat at least once a week. More if my wife lets me. Before kids, it was roughly 3 times a week.

Depending on where you live in Ontario ;)

I've not had a 4x4, or the need for a 4x4 in my 30+ years of driving. Gotta know when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, and when to stay home because you just know that the game is gonna be a bust - Snow Day!

its my DD, got the long bed because i thought i would use it for more truck stuff, double cab because its what i stumbled across. wanted 4x4 so i can go anywhere. it will probably start getting used more as a truck now that i have a rally car and have to tow it and all my support gear to and from events.

I like the convenience of having a truck, but a family SUV would have been a better choice.

Hauling junk and home improvement every once in a while. Had a 2002 4x4 that never saw dirt...yeah I know. Bought a 2015 Prerunner and couldn't be happier.

Well, IMO Trucks really aren't for off-road use so I wouldn't use that as my means of defining a truck.

My Tacoma is my toy truck. I don't like cars, I only like SUVs and trucks, so the Tacoma is my version of a fancy sports car. It's my daily driver since I got tired of always driving my less than fuel efficient F250. I find that I really use my F250 when I need truck work done. I use the Tacoma for more small loads here and there.

I would not say under any circumstances what so ever that I use my truck like a car. I just treat it like a Porche haha drives everyone around me crazy

Offroading is not "truck" use. Truck use is cargo/payload.
Which isn't to say that a truck can't or shouldn't be used for offroad.

Just that you'd be better off with something like fj/landcruiser/etc.

It's my only vehicle, so yeah, it's as much of a "Car" as it is a "Truck", if not more.

But I really like the convenience of being able to go to Lowe's after work and not worrying about it. I just used it to bring a couch home. Does that count? :D
I have an 06 PreRunner TRD Offroad Access Cab. Almost exactly what I want. I would love to have exactly what I have, just in 4X4. But I really have no need for a 4WD and can't really justify the $5k extra it would have cost me.

Did you have someone in it while you were driving home?
    If not, doesn't count.

I never drive off road. It has never been driven on dirt or gravel. It's my DD. I do haul stuff in it, dogs, groceries or Home Despot stuff.

I've accepted my truck's "Road Queen" label. Actually since the sliders, suspension, and wheel/tire change I think I've upgraded to "Mall Crawler" status. 98% of the time it's just hauling my ass to work and back home so I voted "Like a Car".

That being said I do use it as a truck when the opportunity arises; hauling off landscaping/construction debris, moving furniture, pulling out trees, etc. But there's not a lot of opportunity for offroading in the big city.

I drive like I dgaf over speed bumpers and what not. I also have been known to go off the pavement when necessary under normal driving conditions, like traffic
