Has anyone else had issues with shipping delays? Toyota has reset my estimated delivery date twice now pushing back a week each time. I'm waiting for a Silver DCSB Offroad but it's frustrating that I can't get an accurate delivery date.

On a related note, does anyone know the cause? Are they having a production shortage?

The dealer is pushing back the delivery or the factory?

I believe the delay is in shipping. The dealer sent a screenshot of the tracking system the last time the estimated delivery date got updated and the truck had a production date of 6/17 and a shipping date of 6/18.

I'm wondering if other people had this problem, and how many more times can I expect the delivery date to slip.

I don't work at the Taco facility. Sure there are folks here that do. They would know about any production delays. They are rare for Toyota so i doubt it

Mine was delayed back in November by about a week. There was never any explanation given but I think it is fairly common. Best case scenario they found a late breaking "Fix" for a widespread 3rd gen issue and they're holding them up to implement the solution. Probability of that I'd say is 1% likely..... :D

Could be anything, weather or railway jam up, inspection stations are short staffed taking longer to process shipments from over the border, labor dispute/strike, awaiting long lead items / delayed parts for production, etc.

I dunno... walked onto the lot at 4PM and drove off with my Silver at 630 the same day.

I wish. The only DC Off-Road they had at the time was black. There's no way I was going to try to keep that clean.

I don't mind the waiting so much but I have several jobs queued up that I need a truck to do, which is adding to the aggravation. Luckily, my dealer has been a pleasure to work with and they offered to give me a loaner truck for the weekend if mine isn't in by then.

there was a flood issue that caused a backlog a few weeks ago but i also noticed MGM and IRM colors are now unavailable in most states for factory orders on 2016's.... 2017's are likely coming up and they're just transitioning.
