I've noticed that whenever I'm listening to XM or any other source of audio for that matter, occasionally I'll get in the truck and notice the sound is super super loaded with bass (I Have the JBL upgrade). So I check my audio settings and they're all set back to the center instead of where I had them...

Is anyone else having this issue where your treble/mid/bass settings are resetting? I've reset them about four times now.

    No, my settings don't change.

sidenote: your settings are different per input device... i.e. Bluetooth is different than FM, which is different than XM, etc.

Correct, I am aware of that because my lexus has the similar setup. I literally have set the audio settings for XM about three times in the last week

I found that Entune, at best, is glitchy. I wouldn't spend too much time trying to self-diagnose it... just try to be able to replicate the problem on demand, and have the dealership deal with it. good luck.

Entune is garbage. I also noticed that all the sudden as of a couple days ago every time I get in the truck now it pops up asking permission for toyota to access my phone. It used to automatically connect.

Mine save, but it is on a per input/device basis. I only ever use my iPod so it stays set and it's pretty much permanently in my truck till I go to sync it. But I have noticed it's different for my phone and my roommates phone for example. But it still saves it when reconnected later.

Sounds like a bug. Are you on the latest software update for the Entune unit? It updates though the phone app. I'm assuming yes but figured I'd check.

Also, for what it's worth I recently switched from an iPhone 6s to an HTC 10 and have noticed the Entune features work much better on Android. Messages, phone dialer, contacts, favorites, etc. and it hasn't crashed or rebooted since switching. Funny side effect. But I only use it for phone calls since my ancient 2006 iPod handles the music via 30pin to USB.

I have had it reset my settings a couple times since owning the truck however, so I do know that it happens. I've also seen it reboot a few times, or freeze up playing music but with no response to the screen or controls.

I am not sure how to check the entune version on the truck itself? or how to check for update? maybe someone can walk me through that.

Why does XM sound like shit? Do other XM equipped vehicles suffer this same problem? Songs from USB sound decent on the non-JBL system but XM sound really crappy

Mine does this, too, every single time I start my truck.

How do we make it stop doing this?

(Ive also had a couple times where my bass, mid, trebble settings change.)

Mine does this too. Just waiting on an entune update to fix it. Which I'm sure will happen...eventually.

As for ththe message on your phone. There is a setting on the radio that makes that go away. It like auto launch phone app or something along those lines. Basically it's trying to launch the entune app on your phone for data connectivity to the radio.

Spent three phone calls today with Entune customer service - they can't manage to tell me WHAT version of software our units should be running ..... then the service manager today called his tech line and the guy was a complete ass on the phone at toyota tech to the service manager and also couldn't answer which version of software it should be running. Mine reads Audio: 010170 and both toyota tech and customer service claim that's a non existent version of software....and I'm reading it RIGHT OFF MY TRUCK!!!

All i want to know is, what the current version of entune is. And do I have it. Through four phone calls so far we can not get this answer from anyone at toyota.
