Lifted, so you won't be limited to just driving on pavement.

I may never take her off the beaten path... I will definitely never haul anything more than wife and babies, maybe at the most my home level supplies from home depot or whatever... But pavement princess is her end game regardless of lift vs lower

Would love to but where would I even do that here? I could do lifted on 305/55R20 or lowered on the same combo with the opposite effect...

I'm likely never going to fully utilize this trucks offerings in power or torque... But I got it BECAUSE its a diesel... From there its kind of up in the air

I did like my lowered sr5, although it wasn't "slammed"... But the ride was hella harsh and I think the old lady, even if her only-barely-5-foot ass gotta climb up into it, would prefer lift over lowered... It was mothers day recently and i took my girl and my own mom in my taco... They both bitched and nagged the whole time about how loud and bumpy it was... I used this to my advantage... When I approached the household budget committee with my MSR (Materials/Supplies Request), I used the big truck lever to get my approval...

I say leave it as-is if it's a 2WD daily ride with 95% on pavement...why mess with the suspension if you don't need to?

Lowering limits your ground clearance. Lifting may be difficult for your family to get in and out of. No?

Leave it as is? Im not sure i understand those words... Do you know who youre talking to? Nothing stays stock at hACKmans Customs

Potholes do suck! My taco hated potholes but toyota did engineer the suspension correctly... The steering links are in front of the knuckle and not on the back side... If its on the back side shit bends when you hit bad potholes and have a white knuckle grip on the wheel... Whereas with the links in the front of the knuckle, the steering will shake a bit but wont bend anything

My five nothing girl get climb fine... More worried about when baby starts to get a little bigger, she may have a hard time... Im going to let her finish the pregnancy either way before i do anything... For now it will be stock since i need to divert funding into my seed :) ... And i did the lowered thing for years... I think it may be time for change... I had a 2006 Chevy Colorado Crew that was lifted 2 inches and i loved its ability to gobble up potholes.. I think im leaning more on the lifted side... the black one i attached earlier had a 4 inch i believe...

2" lift might be good, curbs won't bother should you ever need to get over them, and good for some places with their 6" speed bumps hit my subaru at stock height :frusty:

I'd go for the leveling/ body lift combo. Small lift, nearly the same ride as factory to keep it comfortable for the family, and then some wheels with bigger tires. More tire to smooth out the ride and you can stay with P rated tires for comfort and economy.
Pay it off, get another family car, then hack 'em into a 4wd solid axle coal roller.

Lift seems to be the popular vote... and for ride comfort, i would agree! i think i will go for a small baby lift for my baby duramax baby carrier haha... but it will still have the gogo goodies though...
