How can you tell if balljoints are bad in the LCA if they aren't on the truck? I have a set and Im not sure if the ball joints are actually good

If you can move them easily by hand, it's a bad sign.

Totally unscientific, but the second one is good. The first probably is to. Based on milage probably good to. Check for water in that grease though.

You should be able to move them, but it should take a bit of force. This is based on my comparing some that are new to some that were clunking.

Anyone smarter than me want to weigh in?

Yea, not the plate I asked for, nor was it any of my variations... I asked for TNY not TYN... finally realized what they sent me 15 ez pass violations later. Next time you're around, and you spot the truck, stop into Temp House, much better food and service ;)

Did you get the plate after the state sent out the clarification letters? It had something to do with changing the plate, may have 10+ years ago.

Went out to flex the new rear suspension setup today. I love it. Except I think I have to do some tweaking as the leaf was a little in the negative and the bump still had a bit to go. Now for some pics:

Leaves can go negative arch for short times and not be compromised. I'd be more worried about bottoming out the shock personally.

It's close but the bumps hit before the shocks bottom out.

Do the bumpstops compress before the shock bottoms though? If they touch is one thing but they need to compress too

I'm gonna add some 1/4" plate under the bumps to raise them a little

I fuck you not some asshat in a 2-door jeep floored it through the mud hole @ Rausch this Saturday with an open-airbox K&N intake.
Needless to say, water in the intake shortly after.

Eyes wide and scared to death on Trail 11 lol
