I'm going to pick up a driveshaft on ebay or a junkyard or craigslist. Just going to look for a deal. Someone in norcal should have a spare.

I've been on the hunt. Seems they are harder to come by then I originally would have thought. But I will definitely be carrying a spare:rolleyes::thumbsup:

I say start a thread in the NorCal wheeling section or mention this in that thread also. If it's just a day trail like signal or eagle lakes I would be down for that Sunday or Monday

Will do! Just doing some research on some trails to get a better idea of how long they take. But I'm sure some day runs will work out too

Corral Hollow is basically a dirt road, with very little challenge.
The middle of Dear Valley is still closed for environmental reasons, but you could wheel from hwy 4 to the closure, not sure about the level of difficulty, but definitely more fun than Corral.

Went to bald this weekend and saw lots of nice tacos on the trail, looked like a 559yota meet was up there. Saw the @Bruteforce Fab rig as well, that thing is a monster!! Made one pass at Vrock but my trail limo is to long and not on 35's!! Did some nice damage to front skid and rear bumper but nothing a little rattle of a can cant fix...

    ...too much shit to list.
Deer Valley (the open bits from 4 to the river) is without a doubt more difficult than Slick Rock, especially if you don't take the bypasses. Slickrock is almost the easiest of the "difficult" trails in northern California. It's basically the equivalent of Top of the World in Moab in terms of difficulty. Other good options are Hell Hole, Signal Peak, High Lakes, Niagra Rim, Barrett Lake and of course Rubicon. You damn sure don't need 35s to run Rubicon. There's also Fordyce...but that shit is gnar.

i learned a lot at deer valley last year. Pivot with sliders, pay close attention to spotter, get HC bumper or else bedside damage, remove sway bar or else get clowned. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

Well if you guys think you don't need 35's for the rubicon then I'm sure we'll want to run it. Probably take most of the bypasses though. I'll set up a thread tomorrow morning, at work until 11 tonight.

More shit then I ever planned on doing
We ran signal peak up to the snow line on Memorial Day weekend and to me slick rock was WAY more difficult. But didn't go all the way up signal peak so not sure how tough it gets towards the top.
