Can not figure out where this squeal is coming from. It's been driving me crazy. I've replaced inner and outer tie rods within the last year, and did lbj's last year was well. New ubj and wheel bearings last week. I'm thinking my actual steering rack is going out. Thoughts?https://youtu.be/SYT59UEeIH0

I'm not sure exactly what that noise is, but it sounds a lot like a dry bushing screaming for grease.

I would try to isolate the noise, maybe spray some wd-40 in different areas while someone turns the wheel.

Get someone to turn the wheel and feel different parts for a specific vibrations that you hear.

When you replaced the tie rods and ball joints did you use ones that came with zerk fittings (moog)? If so I'm willing to bet that's is where the noise is coming from. Try to put some grease through them and see if it goes away after a few turns of the wheel.

When I'm under the truck it's coming from the passenger side, very hard to isolate the noise. It's either the outer tie rod, lbj, or possibly the ubj. Everything has been replaced within the last year except the ubj on the pass side. Lbj and tie rod boots both look like they're in good condition.

Did you have any luck on getting rid if the noise?

wow that would be annoying. sounds like steering wheel problem. Or very dry ball joints. Typically they just pop not a dry metal squeal like that. Its almost like something is rubbing.

That really sounds like a dry joint somewhere.
