Well I'm all loaded up to head to SLC in the early morning to pick up my bedrac. Have a weekend of supplies for me and my daughter loaded underneath the RTT. I'll install it in the morning after the bedrac is on. The good news is that the stock rear springs are shit. And my wife, although not impressed with the photo or the fact that my bump stops are almost touching has agreed that a lift with better rear springs is warranted. :D
Now I just have to decide what lift I want...20160617_194146.jpg

Well shit. @zscott with Prinsu called late last night and cancelled the bedrac pick up. Said he found a defect with the welding specifications on my rack and would not let me pick it up. He said he is refunding my money.

After 12 weeks of waiting what a let down.

All things considered @zscott was great to work with and I'm pretty sure he feels as bad as I do about the welding mess up.

I'm looking for a modular design a lot like that rack was. @zscott will have to let you know if he is making them anymore ornot I just can't wait another 12 weeks for another one to be built. I'll probably either go with all pro or CBI Offroad I'm not real crazy about either one but maybe the lead time will be short enough.

Even though the bedrac pickup got messed up and I had no way to mount my tent. My daughter and I still went exploring for the weekend.

Well reality set in, and even though the wife agrees a lift is needed we are in the middle of a house remodel so the full blown King set up ain't happening this summer. So...I went cheap and ordered 5100s and sumo springs. I'll set the 5100s at .85 and run the samos to keep the RTT from sagging out the rear end. I'm bummed that I'm waiting on the Kings but oh well.

Oh and I forgot to mention the CBI bedrack will be a 4-5 week build timeframe. So....I still have a RTT sitting in my driveway :annoyed:.

How did you mount your spare tire in the bed like you did?

Saw your truck today, looks like you found a temporary solution for the rtt.

Yeah if the timing is right maybe can run the southern portion with you. You've already got me thinking about a route for south of Pioche. It could get a little convoluted trying to get around Vegas depending on how much blacktop you are willing to be on.

Yeah I built a temporary bed rail set up with Unistrut. Works fine for a temporary solution. CBI said my rack should ship on the 20th so hopefully it will be here soon.

Here is the hardware I used. Just attached it to the front bed rail which I stole off my 2007 before I sold it.
