    Your information is wrong these numbers are off of Toyota Tacoma Product information sheets.

    3.5 L = 278 HP/ 265 ft-lbs @ 6K/4.6K
    4.0 L = 236 HP/ 266 ft-lbs @ 5.2k/4k

    Max torque is only 600 rpm diff. and HP is basically the same on the curve but now you have 42 HP more if you need it. These numbers also don't take into account the 6 speed vs 5 speed gear and 3.9:1 vs 3.73:1 differential gear ratio. Also unless you push the ECT (Electronic Control Transmission) button you are driving a water down engine/transmission designed to be fuel efficient. It works like traction control staying on till turned off.

    Bro has a 2014 DCSB TSS tundra with 3.5" OME lift and 35" tires and steel bumper. The best mpg he can get is 12 mpg driving slower than a grandma. You dont want to know what it gets loaded trying to do 80 mph... at that rate his gas tank is only good for around 250 miles.
