I love the look of those industrial type high clearance bumpers but they are slightly out of my price range at the moment :/

I will, however, be looking into purchasing some N-Fab nerf bars in the near future!

Does your friend do quality work? If so, $500 is a great deal. I'd go that route and call it a day.

Yea he does pretty good work.. I used to own an '05 honda civic and had some damage on my rear bumper. The damage on that one was far worse and required a bumper replacement and obviously paint match.. The colors didn't end up matching very well but I figure that was because the car was pretty old and then placing a brand new part with brand new paint would be extremely difficult to match.

Then my dad got his bumper damaged on an '08 Altima, practically did the exact same job on that one and the paint job looked great. The colors matched perfectly. I figure the newer the vehicle is, the less sun damage it takes and the easier it is to match.

Judging from the pictures a majority of the scraps will buff out. Again that is just what I can see from pics. I would try find a detailer local to you and have them look at it. If they can buff out the scratches then you can do a PDR for the dent. OP where are you located?
