More shit then I ever planned on doing
I'm still keeping my CB. The more sources of communication the better, IMO. I have 2 hams and taking the class in September

Just ordered the cheap one and the expensive one plus two antennas. Someone is going to have to show me how to work these things.

Best bet is to just copy the settings of a working radio. That is what I have always done. For FRS there is a YouTube video or @EDDO can program. We can do a lik meetup after I get back from plumas to setup the baofeng mafia.

As for test. You can use the apps. I printed out the 70 page question pool and highlighted all the answers then took the test. The classes are hard to come by, but I am sure they make it really easy to pass.

Hit me up before anyone gets a mobile install, I would have a thread up but I am getting ready for plumas in my spare time this week. I may also put screenshots in that post of my radio settings for ham that can be copied. Just remember that we should be on 146.460 almost all of the time unless two big groups are close and using the same freq.

I just finished my CB setup too. Grew up watching Smokey and the Bandit and always wanted a CB...and a mustache. The antenna looks cool AF, so at least one of those worked out.

I used to rock a mustache. cbs can be tweeked to get better reception, but you have to be a electronic guru to do it right. Im not interested in being a cb geek. I just want good plug and play stuff.
