I've noticed on Craigslist and on here people have been listing their 2016 for thousands more than kbb excellent. What's the deal? At least here in AZ there is plenty 16's on the lot so no shortage of supply.

I don't know if people are actually buying them for that much but why wouldn't someone just buy new off the lot. Especially with 2017 coming out soon dealers will be giving better deals on 2016

I've noticed the same here in Oregon. There are decent amount of used 16's on craigslist with crazy asking prices. I think most people shoot high knowing they will settle for lower.

this is america, you can offer to sell at what ever you want. what's interesting is if people are willing to buy at high prices.

Tacomas have always had very high resale value.

and if people loaded up a lot of negative equity on their newer purchase, they may try to get out clean if getting behind payments.

Ever since I bought my truck, i'm always scanning used '16s for sale on my local CL.

It seems that the asking prices are near the cost of the car new, but they are getting sold! I'll see a 'used' '16 come up for a week or so, then poof they are gone. I assume they are sold.

Hell, there's one of beepi.com right now, that popped up a few days ago, that seems overpriced and i'm keeping an eye on it to see if it get's sold quickly. Beepi.com dos not negotiate on pricing, so what you see is what you pay.

They might be accounting for the tax on the costt. Usually KBB on a vehicle, lets say is $10,000. Here in CA at 8% I would ask $10,800 so I can get a portion of the tax I spent back from when I purchased it new.

A lot of people don't qualify for new car loans... Majority of people qualify for used car loans.

Let's all keep an eye and see if it sells. Once it disappears from their website, it means it got sold.

I sold my first Tacoma with mods for a little less than 38k after putting 8k miles on the clock in 6 months. It was a 2wd Trd sport dcsb without tech package or anything worth mentioning.
And by mods I mean bilstein 5100's and method wheels and all terrain tires.
I paid 32k before tax and license a the dealer so I pretty much got all my money back including tax.

After I sold it I bought a quicksand Trd off road dcsb in the next week.

    Buyers are out there.
