What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Yeah it's not recommended but I was hanging out and bsing with the dude who helped me mount them and it was kind of beautiful that it literally only took filling the tire to seat the bead. No outside pressure or anything pressing on the tire. And he didn't really struggle to get it on either. Makes me feel very confident that it will be tough to blow a bead on the trails and if I do it should be easy peasy to reseat. I wouldn't have even attempted it till I grilled @mrbeggins about it and he had no issues running it.

 

Mine were 630$ for 3" of lift and 200# over stock.

 

Is it loud in cab after you cut exhaust?? Have some dakars I need to put on

 

What did you use yo plug those nasty holes?

 

Im probably going to measure the hole and the find some plastic rivet off of McMaster. Lucky for me most of the hardware is black as is my truck!

Didn't really make a difference in my cab when I dumped my exhaust after the rear axle.

 

i cut mine right behind the cab cause the stock muffler was lame so i replaced it with a thushmaster. still need to finish the tail pipe but yea its kinda loud but i like it. scares off deer and pisses of my neighbors lol

 

Finished boxing in my shock mounts. These skyjackers are still the worst riding shock ive ever had! Even 5125s put them to shame.

yup. every pothole is a spine tingler and these are tacoma specific shocks. doesnt ride good with any less than 500lb in the pan.

 

Lmao yup we rocked pro with with a quarter inch suspension travel right to the chiropractor

Actually very light ..black water tank is small but going to be converting it soon so it's not a big deal to us...2900 dry 3750loaded it's a Baja model....

Yes but the only this I can say is to make sure to do some home work first get a dang good tranny cooler, a 7 pin trailer harness with brake controller and also so better front brakes from what I have seen which I have the tundra conversion and you should be good to go but I always want to be on the lighter side of things that's why I went with a 3750 max weight trailer...hopefully pull better up hills will let you know next week how it does..

 

Had a bad seal in the oil pan. So I dropped it and then found this...

 

Came in from the garage long enough to finally pull the trigger on my ECGS order. 5.29s and an ARB inbound...

Now back to prepping for the firewall tubbing extravaganza!
