Takes time yes....a day? Hell no.

Having it checked next week. Tech told me they'll let the truck cool off 30-60 minutes then check it.

Depends how hot it is I guess. If it has reached full temp or not etc,

I live 5 miles from my dealer. It took about 3 hours to cool.
    Good luck...

The actual check process is about 30 minutes. The service manual states it is preferable to have the temp somewhere in the 90s before beginning the procedure.

Almost impossible in AZ where the temp is over 110 outside this time of year on average. They'd have to let it cool overnight and do it first thing in the morning. Even at night the temps rarely drop below 85 this time of year. Or they could park it in the showroom for a few hours and let it cool .... :D(obviously the service bays are A/C'd here too for the most part)

Same here in Phoenix, I left mine overnight. Not much cooling when it's in the 90's at night.

The temp needs to be between 95-113 F. Kinda hard to do this in the summer in AZ. [edit] or TX or NM or LA or MS or AL or GA or FL.

I had an appointment, waited 6 hours for cool down and proper manual check, fluid added; but an hour away from dealership, so it was really hot and needed plenty of time to cool down.
