Well my supercharger finally got to the shop...BROKEN! damn ups! Snapped a tab completely off. I payed for 3k insurance! The shop said they can weld it but since I payed for insurance I don't want that.

It's not CA legal though yet is it? I know it's "pending" but that seems to have been the case forever.

Yeah and I had enough trouble smogging my TRD charger lol. Def gonna try to get the 3k from ups but idk how they will deal with it. I don't wanna just have a shop weld the tab back on. That's not factory

Not to go too far off-topic but were you given a lot of grief trying to smog your truck with the TRD s/c? I ask because I'm a bit nervous about it, I got my truck a few months ago in San Diego with the TRD supercharger on it, I checked the Carfax and it failed CA smog twice before passing the third time around and being put up for sale. I've got a couple years before I need to really worry about it but nonetheless...

I've read mixed reports, some guys say theirs passes no problem then other say it's a big headache. I have the TRD headers too which are CA legal but I'm sure won't help my cause...

I didn't have the sticker. That was the only issue! Otherwise it passed with flying colors!!

Good to hear! I have the stickers under my hood (supercharger and headers), I shine them up every time I wash my truck lol.

    Damn dude, such luck huh?
If it makes you feel any better I exploded another set of bearings when I got a socket stuck on the pulley shaft just as I was about to finish last week...s/c's been sitting in the garage till my new koyos come in today or tomorrow.

And you literally can't buy these koyo bearings anywhere in the US without such a long wait time. These are coming in from the UK.

Edit: just checked usps and they're at my house! Do or die now.

The reason my sc sounded like that is because I didn't drive the rear bearings in far enough. Now have to replace the rotor pack bearings.

I installed them flush so I'm kinda shocked. I seriously hope doesn't play games with this claim! When it costs 120$ to ship and then this crap happens! Thank god I insured it haha
