Had crazy dark tint on my last truck for quite a while, made the mistake of taking it to a Kwik Kar for inspection, they didn't like it. Oh well, I put legal tint on this truck and now I can actually see out my windows at night

If you attract attention to yourself by driving like a douche, your tint may be susceptible to scrutiny.
However, most agencies don't care about it....If you get stopped for whatever the reason may be, just be courteous and roll all of your windows completely down for the officer so that there doesn't have to be a guessing game as to who and what is inside. If you get a chicken sh!t ticket for the tint then so be it, it is what it is and the law is the law.

I don't have a front plate either. I just put it on the dash for inspections, but the windows will probably stay until next year.

ding ding ding! exactly...make an adult decision and deal with it like an adult. I prefer darker tint, I will deal with the consequences.

and even that can warrant a ticket due to how the law is written, it has to be at the furthermost part of the vehicle, which usually means the bumpers, however, I haven't had an issue in my new vehicles or older ones were I have removed them. If it becomes a problem I will buy the eletric actuator pop out plates. I don't want brackets drilled into my cars.

now for fucks sake, can me move on to another topic?

Here's one, for every day DD purposes, name your favorite tire. I'll be in the market soon once we order the Icon setup. MT P3? BFG KO2? etc etc

Michelin LTX A/T is good for daily drivers. We have them on our Tundra and they're great on the road, off the road though they kinda suck

I'd recommend Load C. It's a medium thickness for sidewalls, and ride great on road. Off road, they do great also. E load is the heaviest, thickest sidewall. They have a stiffer ride, but have the most protection from rocks etc, but are really heavy. If you off road a ton, I'd go E. But for moderate off roading, go C. C load are also lighter, giving better gas mileage. I ran BFG's on several vehicles, and I really like the Cooper AT3 much more, which I currently run. If you are dead set on BFG AT's, I think they make them in a C load for a 17" rim if I remember correctly.

Awesome, thanks sir! I'm new to the A/T world. It's my wife's DD and will see very minimum off road. Mainly a mall crawler.

I'm not set on any particular tire. I liked the hybrids coming out but always open to suggestions. I prefer better performance in all aspects and longevity and don't mind paying for it at all. I learned a long time ago you get what you pay for, and cutting corners sucks!

That being said, I know there are options that hit all points and can save a few bucks. Cooper has always had great reviews from what I've read.

If you don't mind paying, the Michelin's I posted earlier last a long time.

X2 on getting C load rating. That's good for the street and dirt roads

I have Cooper ATP's and they're a good tire for the road. A little more aggressive (and better off road) than the Michelin AT's, but I don't think they are lasting as long.
