Lifted 2016 Tacoma with OEM wheels?

Thinking about getting spacers installed. No off road either. Just want a better appearance stance. Any regrets only getting spacers? Do you think 275/70/17 tires would be OK? Oh, and anymore pics??? Thanks!

 

No regrets. I prefer to keep the Sport Wheels. I like them. SpiderTrex Spacers are quality, or another like brand. Just NEVER use a "floating plate" spacer. They can shift around and/or break studs. Not good! I like the new stance after the spacers and it improved the drive overall. It seems to hold a straight line easier going down the road than it did prior to the spacers. The DCSB's have a short wheelbase and can at times feel like I'm fighting to keep it in a straight line, it got better with the wider wheelbase.

The 275/70R17's may rub the bottom corners of the lower front bumper airdam. You will have to cut a little off or just remove the airdam like most people seem to. You should clear everywhere else.

 

Do you know if the pro comp lift is floating point? I will for sure ask. Thanks. Yes, I think I will stick with the 275/70/17. The 285's look like I wouldn't be able to get the C load. Thanks again

 

Don't confuse a lift with wheel spacers. I have 3" Strut Spacers for the 3" front lift and Wheel Spacers to push the wheels outward an inch for clearance of the larger tires. There is no floating lift, just cheap and dangerous plate wheel spacers(i call them floating). Stick with SpiderTrex if you can for the wheel spacers. I am unaware if ProComp offer's wheel spacers.

I'm happy with my Strut Spacer but if you plan on going offroading a lot or aggressively, I recommend using suspension lifts instead of strut spacers like the ones available at ToyTec Lifts. There are many threads that discuss these options. Best of luck and pics when your done!!!

Here's mine on 265/75-16 Cooper AT3' with 5100' and OME 888 coils up front and Deaver 1.5"-2" AAL out back. No rubbing, however my wheels are rather close to my UCA.

2in Rough Country Level, 1" block in rear 265/75/16 BFG TAKO2. I may get spacers to kick the stance out a little. I don't rub, but the foot print looks narrow to me.

 

Man if you ask me, our trucks should like this from factory... looks perfect man.

 

I installed a lift 3" in the front and a 2" in the back. I just installed 285 75r16 bfg Ko2. They look great but they rob on the top back of the upper A arms. I have a set of 1.25" spacers. I'm going to install them tomorrow i'll report back!!

Thanks man. I agree. I love the look even more now. I'm thinking about actually adding a 3/4" spacer in the rear as I like a "stanced/tapered" look. However its really growing on me as is.

Me and the wife head to City Center from time to time for drinks and food. There's a spot down there called Radio Milano that we like to have drinks at from time to time. Some what pricy, but really good house made drinks. I'm assuming by your name you like spicy stuff? You should stop in there and try the Spicy Breeze. I tell them to go HEAVY on the peppers. Usually by the third drink they have it where I like it.

 

Funny, Radio Milano is my go-to date spot... and I think I've had that drink before. The bartenders are pretty cool cats there. Small world
