thanks for your response, thats a relief, its hard for me to get used to push to start and transfering over from driving two manual cars to a automatic truck, i also turned it off in reverse with the e-brake on it started to beep and i noticed it didnt let me turn it on til i placed it park

 

I've done the same thing. The truck has a safety feature built in. All you did was activate it.
