The only variety I planted that had a 100% sprout rate was a German hardneck. Everything else was 50% or less. They all survived until the spring, but this spring we'd have a couple of days of warm weather where they'd sprout, then it'd come off cold again and kill the shoots. Cycled back and forth about 6-7 times during the month of March, and eventually some of them stopped coming up.

Stock rebuild. The 22R may be bulletproof, but it's tired after 35 years. Restomodding the '81 Pickup as a DD.

If the block is solid that's the perfect time to build a stroker

True, but trying to stick with the KISS method and keep costs down since since it's a daily driver. I'm partially making up for the power by deleting the EGR system, adding headers and magnaflow, and then eventually a Weber carb I'm sure. However, I was seriously tempted to finish and throw in the Taco's full-blown race 3RZ I've been working on.

Looks like the machine shop did a nice job. Were they able to get away with an .030 overbore, or did you have to go .040?

Wow, that's kind of a surprising...
How many miles? Usually anything over 200k is pretty well egged out. Was yours fairly low mileage?

Edit- Been a while since I've seen a rebuild get away with a .020 overbore. Must have been tinkering with old Detroit stuff too much

I wish I knew for sure. The odometer is broken. IIRC, the previous owner said the odometer had already turned over once or twice was in the 250-300k range.
