It does. I'm wondering though if upgrades like a carbon fiber hood and roof would do something like save MPGs. Doubt it on a truck. I bet it dents easier too. But it does look cool.

CF hood's are usually for overall weight reduction, but also for weight distribution, too. Remove all the weight from up high on a car and you've essentially redistributed the weight down low.

Don't know that any of this will matter on a Taco.

Carbon fiber does not dent at all. It breaks though, and it can't be repaired either.

Its the nature of CF, not just hoods. If you have a CF bike for instance, and it breaks (usually catastrophically), it's junk. CF would be a very poor choice of material for a truck unless its just for show. If you put a carbon fiber hood on your truck make sure you get a matching spoiler.
