Transmission TSB 0077-16

I posted this to TTE on facebook and no one cares. They are too busy lifting and putting ugly street wheels on their trucks...

 

Just got off the phone with Toyota. Both service advisor and certified tech confirmed that TSB-0077-16 doesn't exist in their system!

Just FYI, I don't have the TSB number yet, but I will.

 

that's why I'm not driving a half hour to go 10 miles to the dealerhip.

 

4 pages of crap so far... i suggest freezing this thread until a TSB is verified and posted.

It doesnt come up under a vehicle or TSB search but on the TIS homepage its listed first on the rescent service bulletin page.

I've been trying to have my shifting problems (R to D delay, P to D delay, not upshifting after going up a hill with cruise control, and occasional difficulty shifting from 2nd to 3rd) corrected at my local dealer. They told me that my truck was "performing as intended" and that there wasn't a problem with the truck as of this past Tuesday (7-12-16) despite my insisting they were wrong. The service advisor called me today at work to tell me that they just came out with a TSB to correct R to D delay, P to D delay, not upshifting on cruise control, and harsh shifting from 1st to 2nd. He stated that the TSB was 0077-16. This call was completely unsolicited, so I have no other reason, but to believe it is true that it exists. FYI, my truck is a 2016 DCOR 4x4 with towing package built in May 2016 in Mexico.

 

Sub'd, this is literally the only thing bugging me with this truck. Hope to get mine fixed soon! Please let us know how the update goes.

 

that encouraging! I am glad someone else confirmed it. It's too late to go there now, but I will probably go next Monday

Now if they can make em quit buzzing at 2000 rpm I will finally be happy with my purchase.

 

I called another dealer and got confirmation that TSB is here, however... When I described my problems with transmission (shifting for the right gear a lot) she said that this is not to solve my problem.
I was advised calling Toyota with my problem.
