There is a custom front tube bumper off of a 96-02 4runner that I was thinking about purchasing if it was possible to mount it on my 2001 Tacoma.

Here are some pictures of how its mounted on the 4runner.

I know that tacoma chassis is shorter than the 4runner, but are there any other things that could complicate this process? (Such as frame width and such?)

    Thanks in advance.

will not work. those mount points are way off from a Tacoma.

@00yotasr5 How are they way off? My stock front bumper seems to have the same bolts (on the body mounts) and I also have a hitch receiver, that the previous owner installed, where the lower bolts are in the picture. Could you go into detail please?

Actually I could be wrong. Went out to check how mine is mounted and it is similar. Maybe someone who has done this can tell you if it works or not sorry about that.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
The front end of the 96-02 runner is the same as a Tacoma. Most of the custom bumper builders list them as well as the 95-04 Tacoma as compatible

If it does not fit just make some new brackets
