Touche. Definitely Saturday and maybe Sunday too...there's a ton of trails up there. I'm camping out a mile or so down Moon Gulch Friday night if all the spots aren't taken.

Sounds like we've got run forming on Saturday July 16th! (@ashrr213)

You guys pick the time, since you're coming from other parts of CO and I'm camping on the trail.

I suggest we meet at the Stage Stop in Rollinsville which opens @ 9am for breakfast just north of the trailheads to Gamble Gulch and Moon Gulch, or we can meet @ the Shell Station on HWY119 north of Black Hawk / Central City. The shell station is on the way to the stage stop if you're headed north from Black Hawk @ 14936 Highway 119, Black Hawk, Colorado. Also a good place to stop on the way home if you want to clean up as there is free air and a car wash just up the street.

The trails I want to run are Moon Gulch, and Pickle Gulch. Last time I mapped these trails it took me about 2.5 hours to map Moon and 1 hour to map Pickle. Depending on which route you guys want to take, there's creek crossings, ghost towns, mines, and some pretty cool views.

I am supposed to go paddle around gross lake res on sat but im pretty sure they dont allow inflatable rafts, if so, me and the wife will probably be in or if she doesnt want to go I will be in. So 90% in so far!

Do you have a swr meter btw? I got my cb setup installed last weekend, just needs tuned.

Yup! I'll probably swing up Jenny Lake and check Rollins Pass for you  Again. That's a fun trail.

PS by the way...if you do decide to come, feel free to bring my SWR meter...I could use a tune! :boink:

Nice, are you the one I was going to help do a trail the other weekend? If so, sorry to bail last minute but being that I havent worked in a bit, an opportunity for good spending cash couldnt be passed up. And cancelling that at the last minute wouldnt've been nice either. :)

Kingston Peak is now open... at least north gate.
