Actually, there's more than one thing I like about the 2016 but I'm just curious if anyone has noticed the absence of a whip antenna? The truck looks cleaner without one!

While I agree it LOOKS better, I always counted on the antenna to help me figure out how much clearance I had between the top of the truck and the ceiling. The antenna is a few inches higher than the roof line so if the antenna touches as I'm going into a parking garage I know I at least need to be careful.

I've got a '14 Taco. Replaced the factory antenna with a shorter (18" in. or so?) because I hated the way it hit the garage. My wife parks in the middle of our 2-car garage so I usually have to back up/pull up a few times. Since then, I started noticing other antenna options. I'm glad Toyota fixed this. Now if they'd give me back my outside temp instead of that stupid "weather app" I'd be happy.

I hated the fender pole antenna on my 13 4Runner , and really glad they got rid of it on the new Tacomas.

Is shark fin bad? I think SiriusXM is garbage and sounds funny. But what do I know..I listen to local sports talk radio. I love blue tooth sync to my phone for road trips. But not too often. Does the shark fin have okay/normal reception?

Functionality is probably fine. Heard plenty of folks bitching about it though.

Buy a '16. You get outside temp in the gauge cluster.

I doubt it's sophisticated enough for calibration.
