Sup guys, I don't know how y'all feel about people trying to trade on here but I'm gonna try because all other sites are dead right now. And plus when trying to trade for an older Tacoma what other place than tacomaworld would be better  so here we go:

I am the owner of a 2007 Tacoma 4wd crew cab with only 87,000 miles on it, it has a 4" lift in the front and 2" in the rear with nice 2016 Tacoma offroad rims and brand new 33's and I'm looking to trade for something like a 2004 black crew cab 4x4 taco. I still make payments on it but there not much at all! You guys shoot me an email if you or anyone you know have one up for trade and we can talk about the differences and settle something out. If you don't email message me or something on here and I can give out my phone number as well as send better pictures and more information.:bananadance: Once again I don't know how you guys feel about someone posting a trade on this site so please don't shit all over this post :crapstorm:

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Why do you want something older?

Well I've always had older (like right around 2000 year models) vehicles and I honestly think this truck is too nice for me lol... It might be weird to say that but I like a truck I can go offroad or get in after working all day and not worry about it too much... I don't want to take this truck offroad or anything because it's way too nice, the frame underneath looks like it's never even seen rain lol.

yeah I just like the way the first gen body styles look the best and should have bought the 04 4wd DCSB they had at the dealership for only $14,000 with 89k miles on it :annoyed:

Found mine for $17k with 24,500 miles on it this past March, San Diego Toyota dealership. They're hard to find with under 150k miles but they are out there, just keep looking.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea by any means, but just making sure you know what you're getting into. The newest first gen Taco is now 12 years old, low mileage specimens are getting harder to find and people want outrageous money for them in decent condition. You will be disappointed with power if you're really used to the 4.0 you currently have, the 3.4 wont haul the truck around like the 4.0 does. If you go for a 4 cylinder, they are even slower and the frames are always touch and go on these trucks, something to really watch out for.

Not trying to discourage you, just make sure you do your homework and research so you know what to expect. First gens are great, I absolutely love mine and "downgraded" to it from a second gen and have no regrets. The power thing wasn't an issue for me because I had a 4 banger before, but coming from a second gen V6 to a first gen V6 will be a huge culture shock I imagine! That's the only thing I wish my truck had, a 4.0 from a newer one under the hood! Haha

    Cole,

I have a 2002 Double Cab 4x4 Green Tacoma. It's very nice and clean. It's got an ARB bumper on the front and other than that completely stock. It's been serviced religiously by Toyota and other independent Import Car facilities, and I have every service record since new. I am interested in your Gen 2. Is it for sale? How much do you want for it?

omg i know exactly what youre talking about! i had an 06 pre runner and that thing was like driving a boat. even though I loved it, i was glad when I totaled it and got fully compensated for it. because i went and bought my 2k 4x4 v6. totally worth it!

I hear you guys. I traded my 2013 Scion Tc in on my 2004 4X4 Tacoma lol.

Only thing I kind of miss is bluetooth connectivity, for taking phone calls. But honestly in the 4 months I've had it thats only been an issue a few times.

I was wanting to trade and whoever take over payments. Of course depending on how much your truck is worth and how much mine is worth either I'd give you cash or you give me cash to make it even. I only owe 13k and the monthly payments are very reasonable and can be paid with a half time job if wanted. But yes if you are interested please let me know!

Thanks! That's great info, and yeah I was really scared of switching to a 3.4 because I had a 5.3L chevy and then went down to the 4.0L second gen taco and now I'm wanting a 3.4L  haha oh well I'll just have to get use to it I guess which will be fine... And yeah I always heard bad things about the frames on the first gen are they really that bad?

Traded my 2016 WRX with 900 miles for a 2001 Tacoma. Went from factory Nav, LED, all the toys, to a 2001 Taco that doesn't even have a tribometer or tach LOL.

Also 4 months later ordered a 2016 Tacoma. So sell wrx= buy 2 tacoma.

    We are crazy
