So while I'm waiting on my new Tacoma to arrive, I've been researching some needed items. Now I'm looking for any advice on floor liners. Weather Tech is top on my list as of now.

    Thanks!

I got the husky X-act Contour liners. They are softer and more flexible than the stiff plastic style of the Weathertechs.
Seems to be about a 50/50 split on what people like.
I used to have WeatherTechs but I like the husky liners better.

I had the factory all-weather ones (which were a joke at best) and now have the WeatherTech's.
I paid $125 for the pair of front WT floormats. They fit OK and look good but I like the design of the Husky a bit better. They seem to fit better than the WT.

EDIT: The fronts only - $107 delivered on sale now direct from Husky with the 10% off and Free Shipping. WT are not on sale and you pay for shipping.

So, the Husky seems to be the winner! :)

I bought my X-Act fit from autoanything.com. Got a good deal on the full set. I think it was around 180-190. Love them so far!

    Near Dallas
Another quick question about the Huskies...
Does the front passenger side have the locking tab holes? The weathertechs do not.

I don't believe they do, just the driver side. Passenger side doesn't have the locking tabs on the truck.

Even the OEM ones do not have these, so the aftermarket ones wouldnt either.
Husky does have nubs on the bottom to help prevent it from sliding. I cant recall if the WT have that or not....

I've had WT in another vehicle and the truck came with the OEM ones. I don't see what's so bad about the OEM ones (aside from the MSRP). Anyone care to try to upsell me to the Huskys?

They dont cover anywhere near as well as either the WT or Husky.
If you like the OEM - then use them. They look nice with the Tacoma writing but dont protect the carpet as well. Not even close.

Second this. I like my all weather floor mats from toyota, but they were sold as if they were similar to husky. They are not. But husky instead. Much better. I want to upgrade myself. Might for hunting season.

Yes. I was saying that the truck doesn't have the tabs on the floor in the passenger side.

My husky x act fits have a tab on each (driver/passenger) where you screw a tab into the carpet liner and put a cap over it. This holds it in place.

There is a carpet screw installable locky thingy. works really well. might leave a small hole in the carpet when all is said and done.

Today I got the Husky. Tossed the WT out. Sadly with only 500 miles the WT brand looked totally worn already.
    What the ?

    Husky Thoughts:
-They are softer vs rigid and seem to form into place much better as they are 'relaxed'.
-They have nice channels for liquid/snow/dirt - better than the WT brand.
-Passenger side has rubber nubs underside to help keep it in place if you dont want to use the provided carpet screw. WT don't.
-Driver side has a nice pad where your heels sit as you drive. WT do not.
-Both Driver/Passenger Husky sides do not come up as much on the inside edge (side that faces the shifter on both sides) as the WT do.
-Both Driver/Passenger Husky mats do not go as close to the firewall as the WT models yet still totally cover the carpet under the pedals.

I think the WT get the award for better overall coverage - at a slightly sloppier fit.

Overall, with the sale price and FREE shipping direct from Husky, I think they take 1st place.....they fit and look the best.
