Yeah. I'll force myself to wait a week or 2 for bumper and do it all at once.

    looks good kurt!

I request your guys' back up. the low tone of my factory horn has been out of commission for a couple months. I went and bought a WOLO Big Boy from autozone for like 40$. Disconnected both factory horns, plugged the power into the WOLO, grounded it, and it worked (I tested it with tiny short bursts only). the next day on the interstate, when I was alone I tried again and it cut off on me. Looked for a fuse in the engine bay...couldnt find it. took the relay out. tested the relay in EVERY way possible and it worked (used a 19.2v battery from my drill...bad idea, shit gets hot and you smell burning metal---->lesson learned). Went back outside with my multimeter and checked the the 4 female connectors of the relay. got continuity between the grounds, but I wasnt getting the power on the meter when I "honked" the horn going to the factory relay to the battery....which instantly led me BACK to believing it was a bad fuse. RECHECKED underneath the fuse cover, wiped all the dust off and VOILA! found the stupid horn fuse. Naturally, it was blown so after feeling like a fucking idiot (but really like a fucking scientist cuz of all the trouble shooting I did) I replaced the fuse and did another "test honk" and it worked. So tonight I came home and decided to wire up the relay that CAME WITH the horn haha. I ran the factory power wire to the 86, grounded the 85. ran a constant power from my blue sea fuse block with a 30A fuse in it to 30 and the HORN positive to the 87.

I "test honked" tonight at 2130 (late, i know) and the horn worked. Is there anyway the factory wiring and fuse is taking this load or if I screwed something up, would nothing work!

Im pretty sure its all right since the horn blew, but I just wasnt sure if somehow I could still be relying on the factory wiring and 10A fuse in the factory fuse block, just to blow another 10A fuse tomorrow when I do a real test hit on it.

This should be correct. That should only use the current from your stock horn switch to trip the relay. Did you ever remove that fuse for your light bar?

@Dave41079 @Kerleyfries @Utah Off-roader and anyone else who cares. I'm good with the 4th still, but I just found out I'm off on the weekend of the 6th. If that would be better I'd be fine with moving it to the 6th. Thoughts?

Just make sure you have the relay wired like this and you should be good.

thanks. I have not yet, but it is on the list. I do still have it sitting up on the shelf that holds the fuse panel to keep it from under it and away from the heat.

    perfect, thanks!

Dropped it of yesterday at a reputable chain for alignment. They couldn't adjust the toe due to passenger steer linkage locked up. They quoted over 200$ to replace the passenger linkage with me supplying the parts. Told them to get it as good as they could get it and I would take it home and free or replace the necessary parts (have them all already for trail-side breakdowns) and bring it back on Monday. I didn't say which Monday though
