Gen 2 power curve is much preferable.

Yeah I don't understand how the peaks and valleys can be so great in the 3.5.

Mine has plenty of power, if I wanted or needed more I`d buy a Tundra.

Pretty sure this is was dynoed by a member here. And yes it was an AT so it's not truly accurate.

Thats perfectly fine if it was a member here. Just pointing out that its based on MPH and not RPM, and the graphs do not line up, making it worthless.

That was more so meant for the guy asking if it was dynoed before production. Wasn't sure if he was joking or not.

I test drove a tundra before I bought the taco. I could not get it though due to 2 problems - 1 does not fit in my garage and even parked in the driveway it was sticking out on to the sidewalk, 2 - it is too big for the kind of offroading I want to do and did not have crawl control or even a locking rear diff with the offroad package. But I would LOVE to have the 5.7 from the tundra in the taco.

So a little update from driving up to flagstaff. I was wrong thinking that I was in 4th most of the way before. Turns out the truck was in 3rd and 4th most of the way. In 3rd uphill at 5500rpm doing 84mph for 15-20 minutes at a time gets annoying.

Holy crap. Maybe your trucks broken. Mine hasn't had to do that even at 80 going up a mountain pass. Just 3rd very occasionally.
