I used to have a 2013 mustang 5.0 and I loved how nice it was inside (with the leather, heated seats, nav system, etc.)

I am now wanting to kind of class up my 2012 TRD Sport to make it feel a little nicer inside, because lets be serious, the 2nd gen tacomas interior is nothing to write home about..

I am planning on doing a Katzkin leather replacement, my concern is that the bottom plastic part of the seat (which is gray), the seat belt (gray), and seat belt buckle (gray) will look strange with black leather. Has anyone done black leather in their tacoma before? Does it class it up a bit? Do you guys think it will look strange with the gray bottom seat, belt, and belt buckle?

I found a few pictures of someone else that did it, what are your guys thoughts on this?

    Thanks in advance!

PS any suggestions for a nav system?

I saw it in person, and I felt a dark grey would have looked better, but to each their own...

Maybe like a dark charcoal gray you think may look better?

I agree. Katskin makes different colors. Go charcoal

I'm going to a professional upholstery shop tomorrow and I guess they have some samples of different Katzkin colors, I'll definitely check out the charcoal color

I would try to match the stock color as close as possible. As others have said, black doesn't look that good.

I think the black looks the best. I feel grey looks cheap but of course it's all subjective.
I eventually hope to get black leather seats, but with different color stitching for contrast. Not sure what color but will probably either white or red. I'll probably do a black leather with a TRD Sport embroidered in red/white respectively w/ white stitching.

I got the black leather ( or charcoal ). It was an add on from the dealership. I was concerned about the two tone look on the grey plastic so much, I considered painting the trim to match. But once I got it, it wasn't that bad. Now Im glad I didn't do anything foolish like painting the trim. I will shoot a picture tomorrow and post it.

Right on - I'd be happy to meet up if you want to check mine out before pulling the trigger on your seats.
