That's what it was. I just remember reading about how much people hated that about those motors.

Yeah, it was a semi-regular occurrence when I was writing service; customer would come in with an engine skip and it'd turn out that it was because the motor had punted a plug core. And the only way to fix it was to pull the head and take an extractor to the old threads and hope they hadn't bonded to the head.

The triton motors were know for that. The 5.4L had the same problem. Easy fix was to just change your plugs more often. Going 100K till plug changes was too long for those things

The Triton was terrible, it had a screwy plug and would break in the head when you went to remove it. I know a few people that lived that painful experience, and a few others that heard about the issue and traded the truck.

    Thank F*CKING GAWD.
GF finally bought her Mustang today. Now I don't need pretend to listen to endless discussions of the pros and cons of getting a Mustang any more. She's got her car, she's happy, so I'm happy.

I saw a random license plate today and was hoping someone on here might know something.

It was on a 1980's 911 Cab and was a green plate that said Celtics in diagonal and just had plate #9.

I've seen the vanity plates with the Celtics logo (I've got Sox plates on the truck and Bruins plates on the Vette) but I've never seen a green plate with just the word Celtics. I figure it has to be someone important.

I would consider that work, lol.
The '69 all I have to do is
    1) Step on brakes
    2) Step on gas.

Prob someone in the front office or former player. I know the bruins got all the low number plates when they first came out. The zambonis have plate 1 and 2 on them.

Probably. I've never seen a plate like it in my life though. It must have been from the 1970s or 1980s.

It looked like this but had Celtics going diagonal the other way.

Yeah the reviews I've read online say about the same. I guess I'll just replace the wood instead . I'd rather not work on it twice.

GF stopped by the office to show off her new ride. If her smile got any bigger the top of her head would fall off.

She's pretty psyched. Once she gets over the 'stomp on the throttle and listen to the turbo' stage she should get decent MPG's with it, too.

    HA!
That would drag her down to V8 gas mileage, I suspect. It would go like stink and sound awesome, but she's still got that 100 mile round trip commute every day...
