I was quoted a build date of July 25th and a estimated delivery date of Week of August 13th

People keep talking about rear power slider. ..does anyone have any hard facts...I suspect a rumor as the dealer said no changes for 2017

Well Joe, I sure hope you are getting a 2017 in August. Because I also have July 25 build date, but my salesman is telling me that my DCLB OR is going to be a 2016. Could things be different in different regions?
Could DCs from Mexico be different than ACs from Texas? In any case I may cancel the order and wait for the 2017. Just getting tired of waiting. I ordered the dam thing April 25.... I'm not getting disgusted I AM disgusted! Please keep us posted on your order. Thanks

Gee's, and if you're right I'd be crazy not to wait a few days and order a '17...but my salesman is saying he can't order '17s yet....is he bullshitting or what?????

Well you can definitely order a 17 right now , and the 2017 order banks opened 5/1 so I think u would be getting a 2016 with the order and build dates you have given.

Hiluxski has had a 2017 on order since 2015 it seems. He's had it on his sig before they even took preorders. Come September it's time to shit or get off the pot

Same truck I ordered. I am still waiting on the build sheet and vin which the dealer said I will get once the pricing info is out on the 2017. I guess we will see.

That is exactly what I was thinking. 2016 and 2017 are the same exact truck. My dealer said my truck will be part of the first 2017 allocations to the dealership
This concerns me a bit as I am thinking the truck 2017 could be actually a 2016

I would highly suggest you do so. I got the same run around from a few dealers who told me 2017 truck will not be available until January.

I put deposit down to hold "one of the last 2016 magnetic gray sports". But I guess the dealer didn't get it in time. So they put the hold on a 2017, same truck. Should arrive around 15 August to dealer. Have a vin and everything.

Sounds like you have some impressive negotiation skills. I presented the same specs as you (except for color, silver sky) at two dealerships and they refused to drop price below $1000 off MSRP. They claimed a P&T package on the access cab off-road is extremely rare in my region (Toyota's Ohio Valley region). One dealer also mislead me, claiming navigation does not come standard with the P&T add-on for the access cab, but he said he could produce a special build 2016 that did have it. So, I plan to wait until late November or December (slowest for sales) to try and negotiate a good deal, at a different dealership. Oh yeah, and wait for the 2017 :)

I'm in the same boat I think. Dealer and I negotiated a price, signed paperwork, and a deposit was given. I ordered a 2016 TRD Off Road Double Cab Long Bed with only Power & Tech (Non-JBL), towing and mudguards for $35,567 on April 23rd.

I asked for updated a month later and was told 2-4 more months. Followed up and only July 8th was told that Toyota accepted my order as a 2017 but there is no build date yet and he will update me as he learns more. Weird I see others with build dates already... I just want my truck!
