    Y'all bring up a good point, and I think that's what's been missing from the Star Trek movies. The show worked because of very well fleshed-out characters and a deep plot. The action was occasional, but it wasn't central to the story. That's why Wrath of Khan worked so well, and the TV series.

    Episode 7 seemed to me as a rehash of Episode 4, but relied more on its effects than the storyline. What makes me hopeful for Rogue One (and Episode 8) is the return to the character struggles, complex plot lines (even though we got us a good McGuffin), and real risks facing the characters. Let's face it - the only two characters guaranteed to make to the end of Rogue One are Darth Vader and Mon Mothma. Everyone else could seriously be on Game of Thrones...

    The turd gen looks like it has a goofy smile, kind of like the First Order troopers. Not very menacing.

    Super excited to see all the OG StarWars stuff on the big screen.

    So my co-worker didn't like the new StarWars and so far doesn't like this one because the lead character is a girl. He doesn't mind it but he prefers it to be like the other 6 male leads. I think that's stupid I couldn't care less about that. You guys thoughts?
