IMG_0173.jpg I paid off my 2016 SR5 DC. Man it feels good. I plan on keeping it for a while, unless... you know how it goes... something I can't resist comes along. Bought in February this year. I blacked out the badges, but no pic yet...

Seems like a waste of money.

If you have that kind of cash, you should have awesome credit. You should have been able to secure a stellar finance rate. Put the rest of that cash to work making better interest then you are paying on the truck.

    Just saying.

Finance advice from the interwebz is always great.

Unless he got 0-1% APR its likely not a waste. You aren't accounting for risks or cashflows. You can't miss a payment on a paid off truck. You can free up $400-600 a month.

You are using "business" finance principals and trying to apply them to a person. That *can* work, but sometimes no-debt is better for people. Not to mention most average amaericans dont have the understanding of business finance to make it work.

Leave it to the Internet to critize someone for a decision they've already made thinking they know better instead of saying a simple complement or congratulations. Lol.

Grats OP, killer lookin truck and grats not having debt on it! I wish I could've not had to finance mine

    Big congrats!!!!!

I can't wait for that day to come. Mine won't be paid off for a few more years but that's the reality of balancing life needs and student loan debt.

Save the amount you would have been paying each month for a few years and with interest/earnings you can pay cash on your next one. I have an 09 paid off since 10, 6 years with no car payments, next vehicle will be cash.

Seen a few of this guy's post. Nothing positive ever comes out of it. Probably needs a good swift kick to the vag.
