Emailed the Service Manager of the dealer I bought the truck from (Mountain States Toyota, Denver) regarding this TSB, and that I would also like to have the fluid level checked. Have yet to hear back, and honestly do not think I am going to get a reply. Any suggestions when/if I don't hear back from him? Sidenote: the dealer service depts in my hometown are total a$$

Print the TSB from the first post, and politely shove it in his face!

Technically TSB only applies if the symptoms are present in your particular vehicle. Dealer has to verify that in order to be reimbursed for the servuce. TSB is not same as a recall from my understanding

    True.

I am bringing in my service documents from December which states I made complaints about both the R to D delay and not upshifting while in CC. There report says they found the R to D delay but ""operates per design at this time". Hopefully this shortcuts the BS and any evaluation they have to do.

Perhaps I missed the engine designation; T-SB-0077-16 is this bulletin for3.5/6speed automatic transmissions. Probably missed it, so elated with the prospects of some resolution to issues. I called Toyota, admitted TSB, thank you!any info would be greatly appreciated

Got mine flashed as well a few months ago when I was having issuesl. Truck no longer randomly slips into neutral under acceleration while driving or gets stuck in neutral even after shifting in 'D' from a cold start, but still get some random, clunky down shifts and just chalked it up to a combination of accepting that's the way the truck is and not giving as much of a fuck as I did before. But when I do get a harsh downshift when slowing down I do sometimes catch myself muttering "Fucking Toyota" under my breath.

Mine does the same. The downshifts and the shift flare first thing in morning when driving out of neighborhood from 2nd to 3rd gear (15 to 25MPH or so) ... VERY annoying.

How did you get yours flashed a few months ago when the TSB was only available starting yesterday?

Because I was having issues moths back and the dealership was told by Toyota go flash my ECU and erase all learning.

By flashing he means "updating" or clearing it out.

They erased all learning data so I could start over after the transmission was properly filled.
