Hey folks, I'm new to this forum and early in the summer an oak tree fell on my '98 Toyota T100. The vapor canister took a big hit and the hood was pretty well folded around the motor. The truck runs but it's idle is very rough and it will almost stall and die when it first starts. There is a high pitch squeal sound coming from under the throttle body that I'm guessing is a vacuum leak. I have a video of it so you guys can have a listen. I'm going to spray for leaks tonight and hopefully this is the source of my problem.

Has anyone had this problem? If so are there any areas I should specifically check?

I know it's not a taco but it's running the 3.4l and this is a great forum site so I figured I'd throw it out there.

Let me know what you guys think.

You may have to disassemble the intake manifold looking for the leak. If a tree FOLDED the hood over the motor......there was a lot of force involved.....meaning that something could be cracked.

I just found the leak. Its where the intermediate intake manifold meet with the lower portion.
