you know i hate asking you work questions but when i had to change my front brakes it took me like 3 hours my truck came from an area where alot of salt is used and the retaining pins were rusted tight. i had to drive them out then i cleaned them up with a roloc disc and reinstalled them should i replace them?

I'm the same. My Gen 2 was listed as a Toyota Certified vehicle when I traded it in because all servicing was done at dealership. It brought some extra dollars into my pocket because they could list it that way. The old "pay me now or pay me later".

That's normal procedure for me. Pins are cheap. Once they are rusted it comes back and will seize again. I would replace them and lube with caliper grease.

OMG almost impossible to stay up with this thread anymore! I like that, well done Andy....

For many years I have loved Scott Adams cartoon Dilbert. When I retired from the Navy I did business process consulting. There were so many takeaways from Dilbert that is really isn't funny. Especially in manufacturing but also many other vertical markets. Hey Scott was usually making fun of the consultants which was me! And spot on....

Thank goodness when I finally took a sit down gig I ended with a great boss and team. Makes life much simpler, easier and stress free.

Hmmm that was my very first thought on the cat house but kept it to myself thought it was a Navy thing LOL. I am in the "achoo" crowd and deathly allergic to them. But still respect them (otherwise they will rip your eyes out, really!). Grew up with barn cats in most of the farms I worked on, well done Marty. And great job on the cat house!

We have 3 GREAT dealerships in the area. One east, one west, and one right across the river in Indiana. excellent parts and service dept's....Even like most of the sales staff. Problem is, they are freekin' EXPENSIVE! I do most of may parts online....Most wrench spinning myself.

    I'm cheap....Did I mention that?

If you lubed the holes and pins then you should be ok. I just replace when they stick.

Hey all, totally off topic but I just heard from my daughter and I'm excited. She sent me a text to tell me she's coming home in 2 weeks and staying here for 3 months. She's been training in L.A. For equestrian vaulting. She's on both an American and Canadian team competing in National competitions. She's just about to turn 19 and last year won the BC competition, which put her as the top rider in Canada! Can't wait for her to get back up here, really proud of her. Just wanted to share that with you all. Proud pappa. Going to the world competition to compete for both US and CA, but hopes to win for us. :canada:

Not an Olympic sport now. World competition, which is similar. It used to be, and they are trying to get it back, but so far no go.

We had a commander like that ... he got canned in about 9 months. Only commander I've seen fired in almost 33 yrs combined active duty and civil service time.

 They're multiplying like rabbits it seems. :( Sorry Susan.

First if you don't mind me saying it is NOT off topic, it is spot on! Although I have 2 boys although I now have a daughter in law that I consider my own daughter. Ha I wasn't robbed after all!

Congratulations that is fantastic! I grew up with Morgans as draft horses setting chokers logging and dragging logs out of the woods. Then in Wa. State in the Olympic mountains was introduced to appaloosa horses and because I had experience was always given "Satan". And he earned his name well!

Go Canada! I and more than one other on here would trust our backs to the Canadians, and have done so. And I do what I can to further the breed standard for the NSDTR, last fall at the US National Specialty the #1 breeder showed my dog for me, although I did the hunt tests myself.

You can be very proud of your daughter as you should be and I wish her the best of luck! And a clean sweep of both the US and CA.

Thank you! Couldn't agree more and cheer her U.S. Team as loudly as I do ours. She's been riding since 4 years old and has a room full of trophies to prove it. Was English jumper for many years and won lots of competitions. She tried vaulting 3 years ago and got the bug. Problem here is the training is mediocre compared to the states, so down she went a year ago. Comes back every 3 months to meet immigration laws, but has never been hassled at the border (thank you). My daughter was a very special gift for me. I cannot have children, medical problem. She was adopted at 3 months after a very long wait (5 years). Born August 31, my mom's birthdate who died 2 years previous. Call it what you will, but the lotto was won that day and I'm glad I had the ticket!!!
