Roxy- my handicapped pup, she has a club foot and needs to wear that boot on pavement or she limps. She's totally fine off-road though and is just as fast running as my sisters Rottie.

Looks like my Leroy, he loves baseballs too. However he's quite the douchebag.

He humps his own dogpack in the backcountry, as he eats his food I replace the weight with my stuff like stove and fuel. On the last day my pack is a few pounds lighter thanks to him. Most recently a 22 mile 4 day loop in Desolation Wilderness... he made it fine but damn if his pads weren't worn down to smooth from the granite. Got him some booties for the future

More shit then I ever planned on doing
Man that's sucks. I regret not getting pet insurance when he was a pup.

I sure hope mine heals from this:fingerscrossed:. He's only 5 and in his prime. We got him when we only had 1 son. Now that we have 3 I don't have the energy or the time to put into training another dog. I've spent hundreds of hours working with him.

maggie, the lazy yellow lab back there, has a badly damaged rear hock, we don't know how it happened, but the bone was fragmented and is now rather arthritic, so if she's too active, the next day she's limping something bad... but it never seems to slow her down. the vet gave us some doggy ibuprofen (its not ibuprofen, but it behaves similarly, anti inflammatory, anti-pain), which helps a lot when she gets bad..

Maggie has been up at my daughter's place in Arcata all summer, we're kinda missing her here. We'll get her back next month.
