    There are two different sensors.

Okay. Set the fob on the ground outside the door... Try starting it.

    Or read the manual.

Literally starts fine with the fob outside. Ultimately you can just get too far away though, but a good foot outside and it still starts fine.

    Whatever. I'm done here.

There are multiple sensors. They allow different things. Such as not letting you lock a fob in the truck using a door-based lock.

Whatever? I literally took every piece of advice and test you offered including read the manual. I did exactly what you claim doesn't work and it works fine. The manual only states that you can't lock/unlock in accessory or ignition mode which is exactly what I claimed. I just read the manual also and see nothing about starting it or unlocking it with the fob in or out.

Fact: you can lock unlock from inside or outside with the truck off using the fob.
Fact: you can start the truck with the fob inside or outside as long as you are close enough overall to the ignition sensor.
Fact: you cannot unlock/lock with the fob inside or outside if the truck is in accessory or ignition mode.
