Yeah, not even 2000km on it. First time I used the wipers and I heard that and just started shaking my head lol. Transmission question, is it odd that when I put in park from reverse that its pretty rough and the shift nob doesnt engage in park fully all the way and pushes further a little more after the truck bounces into park. Its hard to explain haha. Wondering if its the low tranny fluid issue.

Never had that problem and had about a litre low. Don't think it's low tranny fluid. Are you at full stop when you shift?

Yup, my driveway is on a slight incline so I wonder if that has anything to do with it

Possibly, try parking brake before shifting into park and see if you have the same issue.

Guess what, no TSB for the transmission delay in Canada. Just at the dealer now. Call Toyota Canada and demand it!

I say give them a few days. It just was released a couple of days ago. But there should be no excuse for this TSB to come to Canada too.

It's because we are all too polite to raise a stink. It's ok, we'll keep being a door mat, sorry eh.

    So true!

Dealer gets on the computer, punches some keys, turns back to me and gives me one of these :notsure:. Then instead of saying "we'll call them and ask cause we want to please our customers", all they hear is this :lalala:.

Anyway, what they did say is that this happens all the time. Toyota Canada does their own thing separately from U.S. and dealers can't even look-up TSDs from the states. Ok, I get it, but freakin' freak freak, the vehicle comes out of the same plant with all the same parts! No pixie dust spread on our trucks at the border.

I just sent Toyota Canada this e-mail....

Hope they respond with good news...

I hear that there is a TSB out for the USA to fix transmissions shifting issues.... and it seems to be working for those who have had it done.

Is Toyota Canada going to do the same thing?.... Any idea of the time frame to issue the TSB for Canada..??

I have the exact issues that that T-SB-0077-16 is supposed to correct... and my VIN is listed in it...

Any news would be very much appreciated..

    Thank you...

    I sent this to ..... toyota_feedback@toyota.ca

Same with the melting day time running lights on previous models and a bunch of other stuff. I am now open to the idea of shopping other brands for a truck due to Toyota Canada's poor customer service. Before I was not. Looked at the Honda Ridgeline forums today for the first time.

The other thing that gets my goat is their cry baby approach to Canadians buying U.S. extended warranties - for less than half of what Canadian dealers charge.

Honda isn't any better for service either. They had some TSB's in the stated they they won't honour here. Even though they knew it was a problem.

Swapped the stock muffler off yesterday, sounds so much better now, and as a side benefit, I find the truck easier to drive as I like to shift by sound more than looking at the gauges. I'll get a driving video sometime but that's not as easy to do haha

Mind me asking how you like the manual? And why you chose manual over auto? If there are reasons anyways.

Love it. Had an auto FRS for the last couple years and missed the involvement of the manual so it was no brainer when the damn thing died to replace it with another taco in manual.

TSB for LCA to fix howling noise not listed in Canada yet either as per my service advisor. So I went up to the parts counter and gave them the parts number for the plugs to fix it. Parts counter ordered them then I went back over to Service advisor and told him to pay for it when they come in. He looked at me odd and I said what's the problem it's a TSB and I want it fixed. He shrugged his shoulders and didn't say anything. We shall see when and if the parts come in.... Shouldn't have to resort to these kind of tactics tho.
