Thanks. I was thinking about doing that with the Knight Rider theme, but the videos were so poorly taken and short I felt like it was a waste. Also I love listening to that exhaust

What's wrong with getting an older vehicle?

I came very close to getting one of the full size Bronco's myself. Definitely would have been interesting with the current car port parking as well as other places, LOL!!!

Anyways, get a slightly older Yota because you can upgrade them fairly cheap as well!!! One of the main reasons why I was looking for an older Toyota, Ford, Chevy, and Dodge because typically, it is easier to find parts at a junk yard when it comes to older vehicles! NOT ALWAYS THE CASE though?! Anyways, junkyards used to be one of my favorite hangouts!!!

Obviously, you'd have to have that "want to know" AND actually do it without making excuses on not going to a junkyard and\or work on your vehicle!!! Again, something that you "want" to do and not feel like you're forcing yourself to do!!! I don't know how better to word it?:notsure: You just simply have to love working on your car and what would prove this statement is one buying his\her own tools like I did when I was a kid\teen!!! My dad had PLENTY of tools at my disposal, but yet, I simply started buying my own tools for myself and going to junkyards by myself because I had that "want/drive" to do such things!!!

Anyways, people definitely have their own interests on what they like doing and I respect that, of course. I just agree with Kyle's statement!

Finally, you keep bringing up not having any money to put towards your truck in some form or fashion, but yet make decisions on buying other things that could have been better spent in other areas, such as your truck???!!!

Just my 2cents on the matter bro!!!:cheers:

Ideally an old Yota would be best, but they're reliability & badassness is so well known that prices are jacked up quite often :goingcrazy:. Funny, I was thinking about a fullsize Bronco recently too but that idea has been thrown out hahaha. My idea with going towards a Jeep definately falls in line with what you're saying about junkyards since there are always jeeps in our local junkyards.
To be honest when I say I don't have any money towards my truck it's not that I don't have the money but more so I'd rather keep my savings or can't justify the expense. My whole life I've been taught to be very careful with my money thus I have learned to save quite a nice deal.
There's always a time & a place for everything & right now it isn't the best time for a 4x4 project. So as I build up to reach that perfect moment I'll be doing plenty of research & window shopping along the way too :D.

Appreciate the words of wisdom as always Randy.

    Where at?

Yeah, I can fully understand about saving money as well, like you are stating! Also, I'm glad you didn't take it the wrong way either as I never tell someone how to spend their own money!!! Just, more or less, again, agree with Kyle's humble opinion and the words I was speaking were just flowing down to the keyboard, LMAO!!!:rofl::rofl: But, with obvious "from the heart" and sincerity!:fistbump::cheers:

I just want to add that when I decided to look for my first truck I did quick research on the type of engines available and the parameters were:
    1) 2.7L
    2) '96 and newer to about no more newer than a 2000 (I wanted OBDII and set my limit for 2000 model because of pricing was obviously getting higher)
    3) 2wd or 4wd (it didn't matter, I just happen to find one that was 4wd)
    4) approx $9,000 max spending, but with reasonable "wiggle room"
    5) I'm all for newer electronics and technology, but certain shi- breaks down when you least expect it???!!! Hence, I was willing to not have to deal with unnecessary electrical shi- and kept it simple, LOL!!!
    6) there are definitely a few more parameters that I had, but these were some of the more major ones that I stuck to like fly on SHI-, white on rice, Chinamen to fish (I'm part asian so I can talk shi- about my own kinfolk, LOL)!!! LMAO!!!

Finally, the real funny part, when I saw pictures of the interior and saw "roll-up" windows I just fell in LOVE!!! LMAO!!!

It really helped putting restrictions like this and not letting go of those restrictions!!! There was a littttttttttle bit of wiggle room, but NOT a whole hell of a lot, LOL!!! What also helped was, again, that I did a little bit of research ahead of time and pretty much knew what I was wanting to get. The only thing that I never saw in any of my research was the rust issue and didn't know about it until the day I drove it to my friends house to surprise him and he told me about it  I got lucky!!! Plus, I'm only the second owner!!!

So, yeah, just as long as you set your goals and STICK TO THEM!!!

    Happy Wheel'n bro :mudding:
