    better flow = better MPG
    better flow=better foot feeling
better foot feeling = lower MPG

follow all that? yes maybe better MPG due to better flow but at the same time if you feela better responce you might give it more gas to feel teh responce lowering your mpg..

there are better filters than the K&N. You should go for a dry filter. Don't expect the intake to be worth it for the gas savings.

about the K&N filter, Some one told me that AEM dry- intake is the samething as the k&n filter but not oilie. so IM just going to use the AEM brute intake period.lol..Because the K&N intake are small and I want something bigger. ALL my friends have AEM BRute intake on their truck.

big, heavy tires will hurt you on the gas mileage. You are probably not getting an accurate speedo reading if you are running different tire sizes than stock.

If you are interested in saving gas- Get rid of your "monster tires" for something smaller- More rotating mass = more drag on your engine.
If you are lifted cause you have monster tires...lower the truck to stock and reduce that fontal air impact area.

Lighten up your accelerator foot- and you'll see some gains from that filter you've got, even without getting OEM tires and suspension.

First, you need to look at price. For example, if you spend $300 on an intake, how long would it take you to recoup that? I just installed an AFE ProDry S for $50 and if I save 1 mpg, it will take me approx 12 fill ups or 3-4 months.

Second, if you're going to open up the intake, you really need to do the same with the exhaust.

Third, let up on your right foot. This mod will save you more than any other mod.

Don't forget the fact you don't have to spend $20 on disposable filters at the recommended interval. :D That alone makes the AFE pay for itself in a few months, and keep saving you money over the life of the truck.

Be careful with K&N. Even though I have it in my truck I have been told that K&N over oils their filters and that oil gets on the master airflow sensor causing it to overheat and then you will be spending your money on new sensors. so keep an eye on your check engine light if you already have one like myself.

Ok im obviously retarded to think something within a cold air intake system would overheat..my bad... however i just know that it will cause harm on it and ruin it so I would just be cautious.
