The truck is solid, I am a proud 2nd gen owner, but I have nothing against the 3rd gen. You have a great truck man

But you gotta drink a beer or smoke something brother, you are too damn angry!

All these flavors and he chooses to be salty. His wife probably can't stand him if he is that cranky and bitter in real life.

All of these threads, especially the trolling/3rd gen bitch threads make me want to leave Tacoma world. Actually I'll just browse the guns and 3rd gen build threads.

I too love my truck, but I will admit, I wish it had more low end torque. This truck is pretty weak in low speed torque and it does affect the driving experience. When I'm doing 55mph and squeeze the gas just a little to accelerate, nothing happens (well almost). In my 2002 S10 with the old 4.3L V6 (based off of an engine developed in 1955), I could squeeze the gas and it just started moving faster..... despite almost 100 HP less than what is in my Yota! I could pass on a 2 lane by just "squeezing" the gas a little. I don't get that out of the 3.5 Toyota.

Now, when I mash the gas.... no contest, this 3.5 stomps a mud hole in that 4.3.

They have a ECT button or S mode fix for that concern. It must be Toyota's idea of keeping the driver engaged with their truck.
Either way it gets your attention like the wife yes?? LMAOO!
But I don't think that helps any :/
    Cheers!

Might be a slight noob question as I've never actually owned anything brand new from dealer and somewhat on topic. The closest to new I ever had was a car with 16 000km so already pretty much broken in.

That being the case would it be bad to do a long drive right away with a new engine sorta to break it in? I'm thinking since during the week I don't do much driving besides to work and usually my jobsite isn't all that far from me so the break in distance will take a while for me. But if I instead just decided to go for a few long cruises would this harm the truck in any way? I haven't gotten the truck yet but just curious.

I wont be getting mine till the 2017 are availabe. Waiting to see if canada gets the DCOR

Nah, won't hurt it, just follow the break-in guide in the manual.

OP, you gotta harden up if you want to participate in the 'interweb world'. Calling established TW members "retards/ losers" won't help you here.
