Jesus, that takes a lot of talent to build something like that. Something I don't have. Big show and shine car show here next Saturday, can't wait!

Well finally turned out sunny here and got the grass cut. Still have bushy bushes and a dirty truck, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

My daughter is a lifeguard at Bear Mountain State park. Today was my turn to pick her up. Went an hour early to do a quick run through some very mild trails up at Perkins Tower/Bear Mountain. Gravel, some washboard and smooth rock outcrops. Mainly to get some pics. Here's the pic dump:IMGP6304.jpg IMGP6311.jpg IMGP6314.jpg IMGP6317.jpg IMGP6320.jpg

Evening from the west coast, finally got done cutting and realize we need more. I am done for the night.

Chris, Mike, I am having fun with you guys as well, I have taken no offense to the jokes, keep them coming.

I worry that we are offending Susan

Just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt, but I like the grey. Nice contrast, but things can look different in a picture.

Yes it really does depend on the light. That's why I had a really hard time deciding which I liked better. I still wonder about the black.

I think this is a great idea. It will look like you have 4 trucks instead of 2.

Well, if you do buy another set, you can post the two original sets in the Buy/Sell/Trade thread here.

I look at my long bed and think I kind of like the short bed, then see short beds and think I like my long bed, no pleasing me.

PTO driven "alternator" for the back of my tractor....It was intended to run a milk cooler and milking parlor on a dairy farm in the event of a power failure. It's more than capable of running 2 to 3 average size homes. All you have to do is keep the tractor fueled and turning 1750rpm. Takes 80+ hp tractor to run it. (140 hp will cruise with it under full load) I did have to use it back in 2010 for 3 days. Ran our house and the neighbors.... It took 220 gallons of diesel fuel, but split 60/40 (neighbor paid the 60%) it wasn't bad....We were the only houses in the neighborhood that had power. (Major ice storm)

I just wait until brake dust coats the front silver wheels and turns it dark gray. Then I rotate tires to get the same even color for the other pair.

I was getting my tires balanced Friday after work. The tire store had a wheel (Helo brand) that is mostly grey, just a tic darker than the silver on my truck. They're supposed to have me a price for four 16X8's when I swing past their shop on Monday. Those wheels with a matched plate bumper (front and back) and sliders done to match would be stunning in my book. Better be looking for my ball peen hammer and the piggy bank!

HI Jim. Had some chores to do today along with fishing. So nothing gets done today cause of rain.
Was all dressed out the door at 5 this morning and checked the radar. Had a big line of storms getting to the lake the same time I was going to get there. Went back to bed... NUTS....
    So a couch potato today...

Once again, the tractor saves the day. I suppose in a pinch, I could use the truck engine, but at that point I could drive somewhere that has electricity.

In the long run, with the amount of sunshine we have, a smaller 2000 and solar panels are the best solution.

My buddy up north a ways had the same setup. Worked great but tied up the tractor during snow removal.
So he got a diesel gen and installed it behind the house.
I saw that run. Pretty awesome.......
