holy crap. two days of work then i am on a plane to LA. Thursday night will be an epic battle for bama.... and a walk in the park to victory for Texas.

If Mack Brown can convince the team that they don't belong in the game, one of two things is true:

a) he's the greatest mind-manipulator of all time, or
b) the whole team is completely retarded.

Texas is the second most deserving team in the country, and they're in the game for a reason. No other undefeated team should be there in their place. And I only think they're second most deserving because I have crimson glasses on and Alabama beat the defending National Champions and previously #1 team in the country.

Texas should be there.

But... i will chant "SEC, SEC, SEC!"

And now bama players are saying that Texas is predictiable. Cody is saying he will run the ball when Bama goes up by 2 or 3 TDs.

I know Saban is shitting his pants right now because his guys havent earned anything yet but are talking like they already won.

 

When did Cody say that? He needs to shut his big mouth and stick to shutting down the running game and blocking Tennessee field goals.

I doubt Saban's shitting anything, but I would disagree that his guys haven't earned anything. Beating the dog-shit out of the defending national champs and winning the SEC Championship is something. It's not a NC, and it won't matter as much if we don't win the NC... but it is something.

I'm still trying to find somebody who will put money on the game w/ me. Even my bandwagon-jumping AU friends won't bet against us. They'll flash the hook'em horns all day long, but don't want to back it up.

For the record, you twisted his meaning a bit. Saying he wants to carry it IF Alabama gets up 2 or 3 TDs is a far cry from saying he "will carry it when..." He shouldn't have said it in the first place, but the actual quote wasn't as cocky as you made it out. He's just a kid spouting off at the mouth when he shouldn't.

The media and the whole country loves to make teams underdogs when they are really not. It makes the publicity better and makes for something to talk about. Texas is no where near underdogs. This will be a great game. I know for a fact Saban has been telling the team do not buy the media's bull crap about Texas having no chance. But I will say Alabama is no Nebraska and Texas better step their game up to play the Tide.

I'm thinking the final BCS standings should look like this

1. winner BCS title game
2. loser BCS title game
3. Boise State
4. Florida

I could see Florida being number 3 but I lean towards an undefeated team being above a 1-loss team at the end of the season.

 

I'll make a little bet with you. Texas wins, you get a Longhorn decal and put it on the back window of your truck for 1 week. 'Bama wins, i'll do it.

OR $5 bet. big money, i know, but I am in a recession as she who must be obeyed wants new kitchen furniture.

 

There's no sense in paying for a decal we'll only use for a week...
