How long have you had it? Mine doesn't seem to do that.

 

A year, its the telescoping ladder that does it. So if you don't have one it won't be there

The magic of an rtt.

 

It is a special CVT upgrade, but was only available on the real Mt Bachelor tents, not these new ones they are calling Mt Bachelors now but really aren't. Thank you @Cascadia Tents

 

Maybe metal tent poles are helping you out?

 

Hey guys normally I'd just search this up but I'm literally standing in the store trying to decide on a rubber matting to pad the ladder and stop it from rubbing through the bottom of the tent. I've decided to leave the tent on my truck for the remainder of the summer so I wanted to make sure it's protected any suggestions on thickness or whatever is greatly appreciated

 

Walmart and HT both have this for super cheap

 

Cut up a welcome mat ? And added velcro ?

 

Put velcro on a welcome mat then when you get there and open it up, and now you have something to stand on at the base of the ladder. Put it back under the ladder when you close it up.

The ones I was referring to have an adhesive backing. In walmart near the RV section

 

Finally mounted mine on after the lift, tires and many house projects that got in the way of some camping trips! Hoping to get this coming weekend!

 

I went with the Relentless Fab "tall" bed bars, so ~8" above bed.

They are really well made bars, can't go wrong with them at all!

 

1. The floor is a diamond plate (honeycomb) aluminum floor
2. Fabric is a 380g compared to 280g on our standard
3. Straps on the cover are a cinch buckle versus Velcro on the others
4. Waterproof mattress cover
5. Condensation mat
6. LED lighting
a. on and off switch with a dimmer
7. Two usb ports
8. Shoe racks. One on each side of the ladder
9. Telescoping ladder
a. has release on face of steps versus underneath on others on the market
b. Has bumper stops in between each step
10. Fly is also heavier with quick release buckle's
11. The interior poles are wrapped
12. All the Plastic fittings have been upgraded to alloy ( on hinges)
13. D-rings are bigger and the Velcro is thicker
14. Spreader bar in the units with the overhang. Helps eliminate puddling on top of the overhang
15. Adjustable annex
16. Wider doors on the annex
